Advantages of Tungsten Carbide Tipped Saw Blades

Superior Durability
Tungsten carbide is significantly harder than steel, meaning these blades last significantly longer and require less frequent replacements.

Enhanced Cutting Efficiency
The hard, sharp edges of tungsten carbide can cut through metal with ease, resulting in cleaner cuts and fewer burrs.

Versatility

Suitable for cutting various metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel, these blades are versatile tools for any metalworking shop.

Heat Resistance

Tungsten carbide can withstand higher temperatures, reducing the risk of blade warping or losing its temper during intensive cutting tasks. Handle the workpiece after completing your cut without getting burnt.

Reduced Downtime

Longer blade life and fewer interruptions mean greater productivity and cost savings over time.

Precautions for Using Tungsten Carbide Tipped Saw Blades

1. The carbide tip of the TCT saw blade has a sharp and brittle and easy to damage cutting edge. Therefore, the carbide tips must be carefully protected from damage during the moving, installation and removing of the saw blade.

2. Check the woodworking machinery’s main shaft for deformation, vibration, axis deflection and other important parameters, to avoid unstable machinery from affecting the cutting quality, and regularly check the machine main shaft’s radial runout (0.02mm) and deviation (0.01mm).

3. The sawdust on the spindle and flange must be removed before the saw blade is installed. The flange surface should be flat and clean, and intersect the shaft perpendicularly.

4. Use the largest possible flange to make the saw blade run more smoothly. The size of the flange should be the same, and the size of the flange should be 1/3 of the diameter of the saw blade (the thin saw blade should use 1/2D flange) , The sawing effect is better (especially thin saw blades).

5. The saw blade should be idling for 30 seconds after the installation is stable, and then start cutting work after confirming that everything is normal.

6. While mounting the saw blade, the flange nut must be moderately tight. If the saw blade is too loose, it will slip during rotating cutting. If the saw blade is too tight, internal damage or deformation will affect the cutting effect.

7. Before cutting the saw blade, the operator must wear protective equipment (protective glasses, dust mask, safety helmet, protective gloves) and check whether the saw machine protective cover is intact.

Wood Cutting Blades

Applications of Tungsten Carbide Tipped Saw Blades

Metal Cutting

Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades are highly effective for cutting metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. For steel and other ferrous metals, a Tungsten carbide tipped circular saw blade for metal is specifically designed to handle high cutting temperatures and prolonged use.

Pipe and Tube Cutting

Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades are widely used in the plumbing and manufacturing industries for cutting pipes and tubes made of steel, aluminum, and plastic. Smaller diameter blades are ideal for handheld saws used in on-site applications, while larger industrial blades provide precision cutting for mass production.

Construction

Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades play a critical role in construction projects, cutting materials such as metal studs, roofing panels, and drywall. Their ability to handle a wide range of construction materials makes them indispensable on job sites where multiple materials need to be processed efficiently.

Shipbuilding Industry

The shipbuilding industry requires high-precision cutting tools to handle steel plates, aluminum components, and composite materials. Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades provide clean and accurate cuts, ensuring proper fitting and assembly of ship components.

Automotive Industry

Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades are extensively used in the automotive industry for cutting metal panels, chassis components, and exhaust systems. Their ability to provide fast and accurate cuts makes them essential for manufacturing and repairing vehicle parts.

Q: Can you sharpen a tungsten carbide blade?

A: Diamond grinding wheels work best for sharpening tungsten carbide blades. You need these wheels because tungsten carbide is much harder than steel. Regular sharpening stones do not work well. Diamond grinding wheels can cut the hard surface and keep the edge sharp.

Q: Can tungsten carbide tipped saw blades cut hardwood materials?

A: Yes, tungsten carbide tipped saw blades are designed for cutting hardwood, softwood, and engineered wood materials. The carbide tips help maintain sharpness even during heavy cutting work.

Q: Why do tungsten carbide tipped saw blades last longer?

A: Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades last longer because carbide tips are very hard and wear-resistant. They maintain cutting sharpness even after long time use on tough materials.

Q: What tooth types are available for tungsten carbide tipped saw blades?

A: Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades include ATB, TCG, and FTG tooth designs, each suitable for different materials and cutting requirements such as wood or metal.

Q: Are tungsten carbide tipped saw blades safe for high-speed machines?

A: Yes, high-quality tungsten carbide tipped saw blades are designed for high-speed cutting machines and provide stable performance under high RPM working conditions.

As one of the leading tungsten carbide tipped saw blades manufacturers and suppliers in China, we also support customized service. Please rest assured to wholesale bulk high quality tungsten carbide tipped saw blades for sale here from our factory. For price consultation, contact us.
